Spark Social transformed an underutilized Mission Bay site into a flexible public gathering space centered around food, recreation, hospitality, and outdoor community life. Designed as an evolving placemaking system, the project balances hospitality infrastructure, adaptable programming, public seating, landscape activation, and neighborhood gathering into a cohesive community-centered environment.
LMNOP led the project through concept development, branding, fabrication, project management, and construction—creating a flexible outdoor destination capable of evolving alongside Mission Bay’s rapidly growing residential community.
Today, Spark Social functions as both a neighborhood gathering space and a broader social ecosystem, supporting rotating food vendors, outdoor events, recreation, and year-round public interaction.
