KIDMOB
Empowering the next generation to think, design, and build.
LMNOP frequently offers our services as facilitators for KIDmob, a Bay Area-based nonprofit that believes design education is an opportunity for creative engagement and community empowerment. By guiding young people through the design process—including but not limited to observation and ideation to prototyping and construction—empowering them to see themselves as creative problem-solvers with the ability to shape the places they call home. Working alongside designers, civic leaders, educators, and community members, students develop ideas grounded in their own lived experiences while building the confidence and skills to bring them to life.
From wildfire recovery in rural Northern California, to disaster recovery in Haiti, to treehouses featured on Treehouse Masters, LMNOP has supported KIDmob's project-based learning by facilitating design exercises, supporting construction, and connecting the visions of youth to place. Each collaboration is rooted in the belief that the people most affected by a place should help shape its future and demonstrates that design is a tool for education, empowerment, resilience, and lasting community impact.
