Our integrated design-build process allows us to move seamlessly from concept through fabrication and installation, bringing ambitious ideas to life with craftsmanship and care.
LMNOP etched the history of Indian Valley—from the ancestral homeland of the Mountain Maidu, through Greenville's logging era, to the devastating 2021 Dixie Fire—into a permanent work of art that is both expressive and structural. The mural reinterprets the artwork that once adorned the historic Way Station before the wildfire, recasting it in a material designed to endure: concrete. As part of the building's rehabilitation, the artwork is integrated into a 42-inch structural bond beam that reinforces the original 1880s brick masonry while celebrating the community's resilience.
LMNOP assembled a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with artist Sam Slater, structural engineers at Moorish Design, and SD's Concrete to bring the vision to life. Our team developed the design vision, fabricated and assembled the custom formwork, and oversaw installation and finishing on site. The result demonstrates how thoughtful design, material expertise, and collaborative craftsmanship can create public art that not only tells a community's story, but also strengthens the places where that story continues.
