A multi-year partnership with Airbnb explored how temporary environments can foster belonging, celebrate community, and create memorable shared experiences.

AIRBNB PRIDE

Folks gather around the Welcome Wagon, exploring its white front porch, with a set of benches and yellow cushions in front. Behind the porch, a wooden wall is populated with a series of windows.
An interactive board, made up of hooks in the color of the rainbow, invites folks to create and hang their own stamped artwork.
People gather at the Welcome Wagon, standing on the porch, or talking at the information kiosk to the side. A series of white columns hold up a pergola, slated roof.

Over three years, LMNOP partnered with Airbnb on a series of experiential design and build projects that translated the company's commitment to community into immersive physical spaces, spanning a wide range of scales and audiences.

LMNOP designed, built and installed Airbnb’s Pride installations for two years, including 2015’s traveling "Welcome Wagon" that brought the familiarity of a front porch into neighborhoods throughout the city, as well as a high-capacity confetti dance barn that became a joyful centerpiece of the Pride Festival. At Airbnb Open, we developed sculptural installations and spatial interventions that transformed expansive convention venues into memorable gathering places and highly shareable brand moments. Together, these projects demonstrate how thoughtful design can strengthen brand identity while creating genuine opportunities for people to connect.
